Blurb:

Two scarred souls: one physically, one mentally. Both on the mend, hiding from their pasts…

Mace Walker can’t wait to get home. Being buried deep undercover for the past two years, on the most complex case of his career, has torn him down physically and mentally. Now the FBI agent has come home to recover after having his leg badly injured from a gunshot wound. Arriving home late one night, his relief is short-lived as he’s faced with a stranger pointing a gun to his head, acting like he is the one who doesn’t belong there! Colby Parks, a biochemist at the local university, had come to town a year earlier to escape an abusive relationship. She vows never to put herself in that situation again. Then the perfect opportunity comes along: house-sitting for Mace’s sister while making the house she purchased habitable. But she couldn’t anticipate this big snag: the one wearing the tight Levi’s and worn leather jacket, looking like he had just escaped prison. Being forced to share a house creates sparks between them in more ways than one. However, things take a turn when their pasts catch up to them, threatening to pull them apart forever.

Excerpt:

Late in the afternoon, Mace heard a car drive up and opened the front door to see who it was. He surprised himself; he never even looked out the peephole first. It felt good to open a door without fear of some thug blowing holes in him. Three days home, and he was starting to relax already.

Colby parked a bright red, but older, convertible next to his not so bright, old Ford truck. He spotted the groceries in the back seat and went to help her.

“Sharp,” he said, snagging a couple of the bags.

Colby handed him a third and grabbed one herself. “Me or the car?”

“Both. I didn’t think you had a vehicle.”

“It was at the garage. Needed a water pump.”

He followed her into the house. “Yeah? Too bad I didn’t arrive sooner. I’m great with cars.”

“And women?” she tossed over her shoulder.

He grinned. “Them too.”

“Did you learn your mechanical skills at—”

Mace dropped the grocery bags on the kitchen table in time to cover her mouth with his hand. “Don’t. I’ve had enough of your jailhouse wisecracks.”

His fingers against her warm, moist lips immediately sent a shock wave down to his groin. He wanted to run his thumb along her bottom lip and then dip it in and out of her mouth until it was wet. He would follow his thumb with his tongue. And other things. Or just one other thing: his aching, swollen cock. His eyelids lowered with need until Colby stepped away from him, breaking his contact, breaking into his thoughts.

“Too close to home?” she asked, her voice a little shaky.

Good. Maybe he affected her like she affected him. “No.”

“So, tell me what you do for a living.”

He broke eye contact first, because if he hadn’t, he would have pushed her Miss Proper skirt up and slammed his cock home very improper-like against the kitchen cabinet. Frontward, backward, he wouldn’t be picky.

Instead, he concentrated hard on the subject at hand. “You first. What do you do with your days, Ms. Parks?”

“You’re avoiding the question. Finish carrying in the groceries while I unpack them, and then, and only then, I might play your little game, Mr. Walker.”

If she only knew what game he really wanted to play with her…

He behaved himself and brought in the rest of the bags. Settling into a chair, he regarded Colby while she started dinner.

“Are you an MCP?”

A what? He shot her a questioning look.

“A male chauvinist pig,” she clarified. “Don’t you cook or clean or do laundry?”

Mace smiled. “I try to avoid it at all costs.”

“So, who normally does all your domestic duties?”

“Here we go with the questions again. You still need to answer mine.”

She gave a little shrug. “Fine.”

He stood and moved in behind Colby. She started when she turned around and found him so close. Close enough to feel her heat. And make him lose his mind.

“What are you doing?”

The tremble in her voice caught his attention and threw a little cold water on his steaming hot libido. “Helping. I assume that’s what you wanted when you started in on the male chauvinist crap.”

When her relief was obviously clear, Mace shook his head. Three days had gone by. They’d eaten meals and watched TV together, and he had even helped her paint her yellow kitchen. Not to mention the make-out session in the hallway yesterday. But she still hadn’t relaxed around him yet.

Thinking about their up-close and personal time on Sunday made his cock snap right back up to attention. But he needed to be cautious. Even though he wanted to get down and dirty with her, discover all her secrets, he couldn’t push too hard. Not yet. He didn’t want to scare her away. Hell, if he wasn’t careful, the sexual tension would kill him.

“You’ve read my mind. You can make the salad.”

If they were reading each other’s minds, he was in trouble. Because right now, his mind was dirty, dirty, so fucking filthy. He imagined digging his fingers deep into her fireball mane while she sucked him off. She would be on her knees, and he would be guiding her head back and forth. Her wet mouth around his cock, little moans escaping her lips…

Mace bit off a groan and removed the rinsed vegetables out of the colander where they’d been drip-drying. He grabbed a cutting board and sat back down at the table to chop them. He had to concentrate on something else. Like lettuce.

GOODBYE 2017, HELLO 2018

2017 has been quite an interesting year. I have done so much, and there is still so much that I want to learn and do.

I mentioned before how I am an author who suffers from a chronic illness called fibromyalgia. There are so many days that I want to leave the writing behind. The pain sometimes gets so bad, but I have made so many accomplishments this year.

I joined RWA and RWA NYC in January 2017. I was welcomed with open arms by supportive people. Authors and writers at all stages of the game, all simply wanting to share their love of romance by painting their words onto their pages. I have been afforded so many opportunities like the RWA LIRW annual conference which put me in the path of an agent I am interested in. I was one of the attending RWANYC authors at the Brooklyn Book Festival, a festival that I’ve been to many times. I was able to have my first ever romance reading from one of my novellas. And those things were possible simply because I’m a member of RWA, interacting with genuine and helpful people.

From a writing aspect this was more of an experimentation year for me. I wrote stories simply to see if I can do it. I wrote them and learned what I needed to work on, and what is more my niche. I also was able to step outside of my comfort zone. Learning my strengths and the things I need to get better at with my writing as I continue down the author path. I also won a Summer Indie Book Award, getting first place in diversity for my novella CATCH ME IF I FALL. It was an honor and a shock. One that also confirmed that I was on the right path. I hope I can continue to do the same.

On a personal note, I am a mom of three cubs as I call my children, I was able to still get my bachelor’s degree in developmental psychology. My oldest and middle cub both had graduations right after mine, and I was in awe how I was still able to make sure that they were on top of their game when it came to their school work, and still manage to graduate magna cum laude.

I say these things, not to toot my own horn, but more to look back on what I’ve been able to accomplish over the years. I was so stressed about what I had to do, that I had to sit back and really look back on the things I did get done. And while there were many bumps on the road, they still got done.

I have plans for 2018. I am still working out what and when, but I do have plans. I do have goals that I want to achieve that would further my career as an author. I want to try new things with my voice and break molds. I want to be confident in every move I make next, and I am ready.

Nevertheless, she persisted. My motto that I used for 2017, and I tend to use it for 2018 with a slight amendment. Which one? I’m not quite sure yet. But, I am ready and excited for what’s to come next for me.♥

5 Star Amazon Review: “Amazing Series: Oh my gosh I LOVE this series! This is the second book in the Dirty Angels MC series and as much as I liked Zak’s book, and I really, really liked Zak’s book, I think I like Jag’s even better. Jag is a total trip, the man is super sexy and annoyingly alpha, but he’s also sweet and hilariously funny when it comes to Ivy…she definitely pushes ALL his buttons.”

 Blurb:

Welcome to Shadow Valley where the Dirty Angels MC rules. Get ready to get Down & Dirty because this is Jag’s story…

The only thing Jag, DAMC Road Captain, loves more than his custom bike is Ivy. He’s wanted her ever since he could remember. However, through the years, he’s had to watch her date anyone but him since she avoids dating bikers like the plague. Instead, she gravitates toward the complete opposite: geeks and nerds. Something Jag will never be.

Smart and independent, Ivy wants to be the property of no man. Growing up in the club, she knows firsthand how they treat women. She regrets the mistake she made by dragging Jag upstairs to his room at the club one drunken night. Ever since then, she’s been doing her best to keep him at arm’s length, though it’s proven difficult. Especially when she finds out his secret, which only endears her to him even more.

Between secrets, lies, and a violent tangle with a rival club, can these two passionate hot-heads find the love and solace they’re looking for in each other’s arms? Or will everything just tumble down around them?

Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, biker slang, cursing, some violence and, of course, an HEA. If you like alpha males who like to take charge, this book is for you.

Excerpt:

He was going to kill the bitch.

Jag pounded on the door. Again.

She was pushing him to his limit. And that was not good.

For him.

For her.

For the human race in general.

“Fuckin’ open the door or I’ll bust the fuckin’ thing in, got me?”

He was going to knock politely only one more time, then that was it.

He politely kicked the door with his heavy biker boot. That was going to leave a mark.

“If you don’t open this fuckin’ door right—”

The door jerked open and something—or someone—tried to fly by him.

Jag reached out a hand and snagged the fleeing body. With a grip around a skinny bicep, the guy came to a screeching halt.

Jag flung him around to face him. He scowled. “Who the fuck are you?”

The already pale guy turned sheet white. With eyes wide, mouth open, he had a discarded shirt bunched in his fist and his pants hung loosely around his hips, since he apparently hadn’t taken the time to finish fastening them before the man decided to jet.

Which was a smart move. But then, Ivy tended to pick smart dudes. Though, they never hung around long. Geeky dudes and a biker babe don’t mix no matter how many times she tries.

And he got it, he really did. Ivy was smart herself. Genius even. And she needed a challenge.

Other than becoming a biker’s ol’ lady. Or his ol’ lady, more like it.

Jag looked down at the guy’s bare feet. It seemed he forgot his fucking shoes in his haste.

Stupid fuck. Maybe he wasn’t so smart after all.

“You touch Dirty Angels property?”

The guy’s mouth opened and closed like a guppy as he stared up at Jag, who towered over him by at least five inches.

“Asked a damn question. Did you—”

“Get gone, Jag.”

His eyes slid to the woman now standing in the doorway, holding out a pair of loafers with socks tucked into them. The one wearing a fucking robe and probably nothing else.

The guy’s eyes dropped to his offered shoes, then he snagged them and clasped them to his chest as if they were a lifeline.

“Get in the house. Deal with you shortly.”

“The hell you will. Get gone, Jag.”

His head twisted in her direction and he took his time inspecting her from top to toe. That fucking deep red hair of hers spilled around her shoulders, clearly messed up from a fresh fuck, which he hoped he’d interrupted. Because if anyone should be in her bed, it should be him.

Her lips were swollen and pouty. Goddamn, if she had those lips around this nerd’s cock, his brain would explode. Her green eyes snapped in anger.

Whatever. She could be mad all she wanted. He was just as pissed. No, more.

“Who I fuck is none of your damn business,” came out of that smart mouth.

He gritted his teeth before answering. “The fuck it isn’t. Anything to do with DAMC property is my business.”

Especially after she climbed into his bed all those months ago.

“Well, I’m not DAMC property. So GET GONE!”

Jag released the now very scared guy with a shove. He stumbled, caught his balance on the veranda railing, then ran down the metal stairs, taking two at a time. Like a scared mouse, he sprinted toward a car parked on the street.

He should’ve known the guy drove a fucking Prius. He should’ve slashed the geek-mobile’s tires for dipping his dick in DAMC property.

“Fucker doesn’t even ride a bike. You’ve got shit taste in lays, Ivy.”

“Don’t I know it,” she muttered, making Jag’s jaw tighten.

“Don’t come back here,” Jag yelled his warning through the dark to the guy scrambling into his car like his ass was on fire. “If you know what’s good for ya,” he finished under his breath. He turned back to face the pissed-off redhead dressed in black silk that hugged all her damn curves. His balls tightened as hard as his jaw. “Probably needs a dick extension to fuck you.”

“I don’t know if that’s an insult to me or to him. Either way, you don’t belong here, Jag. So, I’ll say it again, get gone.”

“Not leavin’.”

Ivy lifted a shoulder. “Okay then. You’ll be standing out here all night while I’m sleeping soundly in my bed. Thanks to you, alone. Normally, I’d say good night, but… fuck you.”

The door slammed shut and Jag heard the deadbolt click. He grimaced and stared at the door.

Little did she know that her uncle, Ace, had given him the key.

He grinned, turned on his heel and jogged down the steps to where his bike was parked at the foot of the stairway in the pawn shop lot.

She may not let him in, but his mission was accomplished. He chased away Ivy’s latest conquest.

And he’d keep doing it until she got some sense and realized everything she needed has been right in front of her all along.

He put his girl between his legs, hit her starter and closed his eyes for a moment, surrounded by the smooth rumble of his straight exhaust pipes.

His bike was everything to him. The only thing he wanted more between his legs was Ivy.

The only thing he loved more than his bike was… fucking Ivy.

And she was a fucking bitch.

Blurb:

This is the true account of Hansel and Gretel. Forget your silly, misguided tales of two siblings and a house of gingerbread and cakes. This is the story of what happens when love battles against lust. When the yearnings of the heart are forced to wage war against the base needs and desires we all possess. When the time comes to face who we really are. What we truly want. What we need. A Warning: Their story should not be taken lightly, for we all toe the line between human and savage animal. We walk around in the light, hoping others don’t see the depravity lurking within, begging to be let free. So take a deep breath, set up your defenses, and slowly turn the page. I dare you. **This is a dark and extremely explicit retelling of the classic fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel. In this novelette, Hansel and Gretel are NOT brother and sister.**

Gretel Teaser

Excerpt:

Gretel’s sleep was troubled, to say the least. She alternated between erotic dreams and consciousness, until she finally sighed in exhausted frustration.

The door opened and she felt a body lay down beside her. Something long and hard pressed against her bottom, and she couldn’t help but wiggle against it.

“Can’t sleep?”

“No. My head is filled with…strange things.”

“Oh really?” a large hand with rough, calloused fingers found its way inside her gown and down to her aching sex. A finger slipped between her lips, gently coaxing her slippery entrance. “What kind of strange things?”

Gretel arched her back as sensation rolled through her body. She’d never been touched there by anyone else, even she had only been brave enough to touch herself on a few occasions, but those didn’t compare to this. “I kept seeing you.” She turned her head to Tristen, and he returned her stare with a dangerous smile.

“What did you see?”

“I can’t say it.”

What did you see?

Gretel whimpered in frustration as he removed his hand from her sex, then ran his fingers, wet from her excitement, over her mouth.

Tell me.

You were inside me. Here. Gretel squeezed her eyes closed and concentrated on her dream. What she’d seen. What she’d heard. What she’d felt. Tristen nodded and as he slowly got to his knees, she realized he wasn’t wearing any clothes. She’d never seen a naked man before, and her mouth watered at the sight of his muscled body and thick, pulsing erection.

Get up.

Gretel got to her knees, just as he was, and waited.

Lift your arms.

She did as instructed, and he grabbed the hem of her gown and lifted it up and over her head. The cool air kissed her naked body, and her nipples hardened in response.

He tilted his head forward and caught one nipple in his mouth, swirling his tongue around the soft peak before closing his lips and sucking. He released it with a pop, then did the same to the other. Bend over.

Events of 2017 Recap

Hey everyone!

It has been forever, since I had a blog post. Sorry, about that. It has been a crazy few months.

If you didn’t know I recently in June of 2017 graduated magna cum laude with my bachelors in developmental psychology. It was demanding and tiresome, but I got through it.

My fibro has also been acting up and I am still working out how to deal with that in my daily routine and with my writing.

So if you have been following me on social media, you would know that the last month in the half I had some events that I attended and I wanted to give you readers, a brief recap of my time at theses events.

Event 1: Brooklyn Book Festival (Sunday, September 10, 2017)

20170917_113509

Because of the awesome efforts of Michael  from RWA NYC, several members of RWA NYC was able to be a part of one of the biggest book festivals in the country. We were in a corner of the festival, but we had plenty of traffic. We pimped romance hard and I actually gained some readers from it. It was nice to be able to talk to people, talk to my fellow authors, and be surrounded by readers in NYC.

Event 2: Tempted and Tantalizing (Saturday, September 30, 2017)

Screenshot_2017-10-01-10-57-28-1

I was super fortunate to meet Janine Infante Bosco at Indies in NY in 2016. We connected over social media, and she invited me to be one of the signing authors for TNT 2017.  This was my first big romance only signing. While I was quiet, as that is my normal demeanor, I also did make some awesome connections. I met some super nice people, authors, and my table mate Elena was a doll. My friend Harper was my assistant for the day, and she rocked it for me.

I will be back in 2018, and I feel I will be more prepared for 2018.

Event 3: Indie Author Day (Saturday, October 14, 2017)

22491997_10210130841937470_4863796144630936215_n

I did Indie Author day last year at my library. This year we had a great setup, and I did get to network with other indies such as myself. While it was a pretty quiet day, I did get my name out there, and it also allowed me to bond some more with my boy cub as he was my assistant for that day.

My big events are pretty much over for 2017, so I’m buckling down as I had a release, last month, one in a week and another in December. For what it is worth, one of the big things, I can take away is that the indie world, and the romance world is pretty damn supportive. I am honored to be a part of it. Honored about meeting the people I have met, and making the friends I have.

As for any big events, I will see you in 2018.

Until next time,

Kay

xoxo

Excerpt:

A flurry of butterflies brandishes their wings within my stomach. I reread the letter, absorbing every word more than once. I read between the lines and feel the weight of each sentence, the significance of the words spilling from his heart to here . . . on this sun-bleached page.

From pen to paper, Dean depicts his capacity to delve deep into our personalities, our bond, and our fears. Although the world may be rough, our love will always return us to our senses and lead us back to each other.

He’s my best friend, my deepest love. All thoughts of panic flee from my mind, replaced with a great big wave of certainty. My heart rate speeds up, pounding in an erratic rhythm as a burst of excitement spills through me.

The heart knows what the heart knows, and mine knows, no matter what, it will always belong to Dean. He’s my best friend, and he’s happy to be marrying me.

All the nerves that had gathered earlier dissipate. Tears burst forth like water from a dam, spilling down my face. Salty drops fall from my chin, blotch the paper, and create dark splotches on the ink. Dean’s raw emotions—a treasured keepsake to revisit on those stressful chaotic days when I need a reminder to breathe, and, of course, choose love. Something no camera or technology can record.

Slanting my head, I welcome the warmth of the sun’s caress on my face and soak everything in. I listen to my inner voice, leading me to what’s next. Marriage. Motherhood. Warmth fills my chest, my heart, my mind. I am ridiculously, deeply in love with Dean. He knows what makes me feel happy and inspired. I loved him before I knew what love was. This is the forever kind that will continue to survive stupid fights and surpass time.

With renewed energy, I rise to my feet, dust the sand from my yoga pants, then fold the letter and tuck it in the safety of my jacket.

No more words are needed. I’m ready to be Mrs. Morello.

With a smile on my face, I let out a long breath, then head to the Jeep.
